Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP)
Be prepared for the unexpected.
Even a reliable vehicle can need an unexpected repair. Mechanical Breakdown Protection can help reduce the financial impact of certain covered mechanical or electrical failures after you purchase your vehicle.
Depending on the protection plan selected, benefits may include:

Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)
When your insurance settlement isn’t enough.
If your vehicle is stolen or declared a total loss, your auto insurance generally pays based on the vehicle's actual cash value — which may be less than the amount you still owe on your loan.
Guaranteed Asset Protection, or GAP, may waive all or a portion of the remaining eligible loan balance after the primary insurance settlement, subject to the terms of your GAP agreement.
GAP can help keep a total loss from becoming an additional financial burden.
Depreciation Protection Waiver (DPW)
Help protect the money you've invested in your vehicle.
Vehicle depreciation begins quickly, and a total loss could mean losing some of the equity or money you put into your vehicle.
Depreciation Protection Waiver, or DPW, is designed for qualifying loans where traditional GAP may not be the best fit. In the event of a covered total loss, DPW may provide a benefit based on the vehicle's value and remaining loan balance, subject to the terms and maximum benefit provided in the agreement.
DPW may be especially worth considering if you:
Made a significant down payment
Have positive equity in your vehicle
Financed less than the vehicle's full value
Want additional protection against vehicle depreciation
You worked to build equity in your vehicle. DPW can help protect it.
Vehicle Protection Plan (VPP)
Extra protection for the everyday things that happen to your vehicle.
